Business Meeting with Our Pakistani Partner

Today, we had a business meeting at the home of our Pakistani partner. His wife prepared a wonderful breakfast, as shown in the photo below.

Since I love spicy food, I really enjoyed today's meal. His wife is an excellent cook.

During our meeting, our partner talked about the challenges of living in Japan as a foreign resident. He told us that life has become increasingly difficult, especially when dealing with government procedures.

We also talked about the strict regulations involved in exporting industrial machinery from Japan. As Japanese business owners, we sometimes feel the same frustration.

Going to Tokyo

Yesterday, I went to Tokyo for a business meeting and to attend a seminar by Dr. Ken Mogi, a neuroscientist, in Shinjuku. Tokyo is so crowded—it felt like a completely different world, even though it’s only about 80 km from where I live. During the seminar, there were several things I wanted to ask Dr. Mogi, especially about AI, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. This was actually the fifth time I attended his seminar.
